    O/T Salmon Pink Trousers

To those of you of a certain age have you woke up one morning and suddenly felt the need to dress in salmon pink trousers, yellow shirt and and a bright green jumper? Loads of elderly men seem to have caught this affliction.

Well as someone who hits 65 tomorrow I can honestly say it has not happened to me .....Yet! That getup is akin in horror to me as blokes my age walking around the supermarket pushing the trolley wearing their team's football top when it aint even match day. Bloody sartorial suicide in my world. I once saw a bloke in Asda who was at least 60 if he was a day and he had on a Vile football shirt, Vile football shorts and Vile football socks pulled up to the knee, topped off with a pair of Tesco tearaway trainers. He looked a complete Berk.

I’ve told Des and Chris to stop dressing like this.

They look like Dick Emery’s character “ooh you are awful....but I like you”

    It has to stop lads!

I remember when we were kids and our mams and grans and aunts used to knit jumpers or scarves for us. They were ghastly bright colours but we had to wear them so as not to appear ungrateful.

Ive no idea kid, as I don't live in Barnsley either.

Speaking of knitting, remember when Frank Skinner said how embarrassing it was (on the original Room 101) when his mam used to knit uniforms for his action man. lol

When we were 13 my best mate bought and wore a pair of Salmon pink jeans. He used to go down the wolves most weeks as well.

Sounds like you've just had a flash back to the seventies.

Diamond Disco Phil complete with Cuban heel shoes, shocking .
