Come on durham, I know you have the brain of a slug, but surely you can do better than that if you really put your mind to it. Try and compose a two word insult next time, even if the second word is 'off'. Once you've mastered that we'll try and progress to a full sentence.
I assume you mean Forte was offered a contract?.....and said "sod off, I'm not sitting on the bench again all season"
I would be extremely surprised if they offered Collin a new contract....I've seen tortoises catch and distribute the ball faster.....Collin is the only guy that can turn a 90 minute game into 60 minutes of action...single-handedly.....I once fell asleep just before he caught the ball, woke up, and he was still thinking about what to do with it......even the ref had time to race to the changing-rooms and book an 18-30 holiday....seriously
No real complaints about the released list - pity about Forte but he only shone due to the dearth of agile, mobile alternatives really,
The tragedy is having to suffer the likes of Hawkridge and Noble, who are both glorifued pub players, again. Hopefully, they will never get close to a first team shirt again.
If we are relying on Stead then we need some pace and genuine aerial/physical presence to compensate for him having neither. Someone who can stand up more often than he falls over & actually gets into the opposition box more than twice a game (set pieces apart) might help too. (how a bloke of his height can be so cr@p in aerial challenges is mystifying. If he won 10 all season it would be a miracle).
I don't know why we'd keep him tbh, good honest pro but he's had his day.
