    I'm off to Turkey next month for a week. I know a Turkish member of parliament who said he will look after me if I have any trouble.

    I am getting more interested in the world cup as it looms nearer

    Not really a holiday but a weekend in Ryde and a weekend in Basingstoke and maybe Bournemouth .

    Basingstoke is said to be duller than Swindoom but Old Basing is quite alright. I live in Hartley Witney for a while and that was a bit quaint
