    Yes I d think that
    All
His staff went as well and so to the connections he made
And all because Rafa wanted full control Of a club he hadn't made a real comment to at the time

And it's not a veiled dig it's an open comment that my opinion is he phecks d up

Any club would have built on and further developed what took years to establish

You´d think Carr was an integral part of the club. He was the scout FFS.

Man, I hope that's not true, Mick.

I was just going to post that I'm fairly sure we'll break our transfer record this Summer....

must be some contract Rafa is on if he can remove one of the board of directors from their position. That responsability resides with the top man im affraid. Can you give me one example of a player that has been scouted by Carr that Rafa doesnt know about and therefore backs up your claim.

Its ok, we all know, you have no proof. Hundreds of thousands of players on the planet and yet you cant give me a single name as evidence

From what I can gather of information on this, Carr left after it was decided that Newcastle were not going to be a club whose signings relied on one chief scout anymore. I'm sure Rafa had something to do with it, and rightly so. And naturally Charnley did what was needed. Carr signed some great players, and then he signed some not so great players (in fact more bad than good to be fair). One could argue that Rafa has done about the same, and that at worst the success rate of his signings are equal to Carr's. Therefore, there's nothing there to suggest that Carr is better at assessing a player than Rafael is (the claim in itself is pretty absurd to me).

That wouldn't go hand in hand with the put-all-the-blame-on-Rafa agenda though.

Suggested by Carr and his scouting team:

    Riviere - Bought £6m Given away £0

    Yanga Mbiwa - Bought £8.5m Sold £4.5m

    Thuavin - Bought £12.5m Sold £9.5m

    Cabella - Bought £12.5m Sold £8m

    De Jong - Bought £5.5m Sold £2

So we lost £21m on those players bought (just as examples)

    Cabaye - Bought £5.5m Sold £20m

    Ba - Bought £0 Sold £7.5m

    Sissoko - Bought £1.5m Sold £30m

    Janmatt- Bought £5m Sold £7.5m

    Wijnaldum - Bought £15m Sold £25m

So we gained £63m on those players bought (just as examples)

    Difference + £42m

We'll have to see what happens under Rafa as if you look at our current squad there are actually only about half of the players that he brought to the club and it looks very likely that 3/4 out of contract and ones he doesn't want will be going before next season.

    Rafa's buys:

Yedlin - Bought £5m Worth same maybe £1/2m more?
Manquillo - Bought £4m Worth same?
    Lazaar - Bought £3.5m Worth £2m?
    Clark - Bought £5.5m Worth £7/8m?
Le Jeune Bought £9.5m Worth £12m?
    Hayden Bought £5m Worth same?
Diame Bought £5m Worth same maybe £1m more?
    Atsu Bought £6.2m worth £7.5m?
    Ritchie Bought £12m Worth £14/15m?
    Murphy Bought £12m Worth £9/10m?
    Gayle Bought £12m Worth £15m?
    Joselu Bought £5m Worth £10m?

    Previous buys by other managers:

Darlow (got too many mistakes in him, not very commanding of his box bought for £2/3m worth £4m?)
Elliot (Steady nowt startling bought £2.5m worth £4/5m?)
Mbemba (sad story, some canny games, but clearly can't stick to the game plan? bought £10m worth same?)
Lascelles (greatly improved under Rafa must be worth 8/10 times what we paid for him £4m?)
Dummett (greatly improved under Rafa cost nowt worth £6/8m?)
Shelvey (definitely improved under Rafa bought for £12m worth £15/17m?)
Aarons (cost nowt worth £2/3m given past?)
    Perez (cost £6m worth £10m?)
Mitrovic (jury out given his form for Fulham bought £13m worth £15/17m maybe more if he has a canny WC?)

    On their way out

    Haidara (injury prone)
Colback (ginger pi55 biscuit as the mackems call him. Toys out the pram not a premier league midfielder, needs a new challenge)
    Gamez (injury prone)

I also agree with this I'm also very concerned that the Mitro money will be Rafa's transfer budget.

I'm sure Rafa would have told Ashley to fok off if that was going to be the case?
