June are alluding to the fact that mods, have no banning power whatsoever?
I can understand it if footymad are in trouble, but saying that do you not think it's fair that we should know?
In the past you know as well as I do,certain mods would have had no problem pressing the button..Please clarify..
The fact pboro was banned for a short while tells you they do have the option to ban but they don't feel the need to do it as and when posters just decide who they decide to like or dislike.
You've also been told that it's been teet for tat with all of this stuff so if one gets banned the rest should follow and that's why the mods are not using the banning option.
There's absolutely no need for anyone to be banned. Pboro's been on for years and so have I. No issues except posters making out they're bored with me or are would up by pboro or me with our certain stance on stuff that doesn't go with the flow.
There's absolutely no real problem on this forum except what some people seem to want to make it. That's just one 100% honest observation.
As for certain mods having no problem pressing the button is the reason why mods need to be picked who aren't just going to do that for little reason.
The mods on here at the minute are doing just fine and it's fairly easy for them because they don't feel the need to do a lot, because they simply don't see any real issues.
People really need to stop making mountains out of molehills,
Basically this is mainly a football forum with us fans talking football and because of our preference mainly NUFC.
As well the odd off topic thread, largely neutral.
Why, for all of Ghost's excuses and biased reasons above is it necessary for particular posters to INITIATE personal insult and then degrade themselves and this site by resorting to ***ual abuse.
I think we need a psycho-analyst on the board as a mod to decide upon which posters require treatment.
And it is generally that in footballs eason but simply talking about Newcastle United all the time between a host of posters does leave little to talk about at times and that's when off topic posts come in.
The only way to keep it all Newcastle, if that's what you're promoting, is to ban anyone that talks about anything other.
Yeah I know it's tongue in cheek but at the same time it's pointless just using the "this is a football site with a preference for NUFC" because the site would literally die.......it would.
It isn't excuses or bias.
It's about being reasonable across the board with all posters being held accountable in a fair way, which is what Ronandtet has basically mentioned.
What applies to one has to apply to all and if so, it means that the bans would literally come down thick and fast...if digs are looked at in a super strict way....but like Ronandtet said...basically learn to look past the digs and not to turn the molehill into a mountain.
Why does anyone need treatment? It's a forum for debate and debates will naturally get heated at times and the moral high ground will always be taken by some if they think they have some kind of higher stance on a forum or the backing of the masses against a poster that may not be the cup of tea of the day.
Too many people are trying to get some kind of perfect forum that suits their own mindset but fail to realise that all people are not exactly the same temperament and certainly not all of the same debating mindset on a variety of issues about the club or whatever.
This is why arguments come out if the minority do not follow a majority view. It always gets to a point where someone will say " he's a troll"...." he's a wind up"..... "he's after ruining the forum"....."he's deliberately being contrary"....." he's sick"....." he's in need of treatment"....."we'll leave if he doesn't"....and so on and so on and so on.
Basically attempts to back the mods into a corner so they feel they need to act to create harmony...because I can well imagine that the mods have been inundated with complaints and it would have been very easy for them to get together and act on stuff that generally would have been borne from (to be brutally honest) a witch hunt.
The good thing is, the mods know there's no need to act because there's no genuine issues that require bans and also everyone knows there's the ignore feature which works well and can be used for however long a person thinks they need to use it for in order not to see many issues that rile them up, if that's the case.
There's my two penneth.

This is the only bit I need to answer as it proves a point.
You have just thrown in a handful of random quotes as replies from other posters.
Now go back a short time and quote some of the vile, indecent quotes from your paramours replies AND THERE ARE LITERALLY HUNDREDS TO CHOOSE FROM.
Ghost if one of your ilk were to brutally murder and disembowel a saint you would come up with an argument and reasons for them to be given a knighthood along with a state pension. And that's not an exaggeration, it is typical.
This is a good example of a post that starts the cr*p threads. Nothing to do with Newcastle, directed at a (two) posters and, although not personally offensive yet, it's personal and likely to draw an offensive reply.
Not getting at you Pat. Others, including me, have written posts like that on here before but if the mods are interested in changing this then they need to get the secateurs out early doors.
