Apparantly the 16-17 accounts show the club spent £1.3 million in Sports Direct. Wow. Thats a lot of Sondico shorts and socks. And it also says that the club doesn't even get its kit and equipment for free from its main sponsor. Not even a shirt, sock or a single cone.

    Cnts.

Decathlon (French company) recently opened where I live (Brighton). Right next door to SD.
Same principal as SD - cheap sports goods - but I find the quality of the goods and layout of the stores so much better.

My daughter and I do a lot of running and their stuff looks good, is comfortable, lasts and it's cheap.

I was in there the other day - packed. SD next door was almost empty.

Mate, we live in Decathlon. Its such good value and the stuff is tough, comfortable and good quality. Very practical kit for camping especially and every sport is covered. Couple of years ago I spent about 400 quid and it included everything - Vango tent, sleeping bags for everyone, cooking gear, stove, lights, pots - the lot. Still have it all and use it all regularly. They did a running pack recently for 30 quid which had shoes, socks, shorts, shirt. Great prices, its not top of the range gear mind you but it is sturdy and would do amatuers/leisure sports people.

PS: I am not a shareholder.
