on the other hand Benitez could just sit out his contract , buy Fcku all , then leave in may , and find a team where he aint jumping through hoops and being forced to shop in Stoke reserves.

why would he do that if he ahad an affinity with the fans and supporters
why not be honourable walk away and let someone willing to come in
to my knowledge we have never been without a manager

somehow ash seems to fill the vacancy every time

he must be doing something correct

or maybe the managers are more realistic than the fans

and appreciate any business whos wages afr outweigh the necessary investment will be hard to manage

unless you have someone finding the odd nugget you can have for a while and then sell on and make a bit

To my thinking we have had three managers since Ashley took over Rafa, Keegan and Houghton

The rest of them have been Ashley’s Puppets and never questioned him

Rafa's already delivered on and off the field.

    It's Fatso's turn.

He won't, though. The man is a disease and we will succumb sooner or later unless the source of the infection is cut out.

Fully agree Zip he is a cancer to the Club but I fear we are stuck with him for a very long time

If this media stuff is the truth then Ashley is 100% bang on.
    I'd do exactly the same.
Let's get something into real perspective.

We have a manager on 5 million a year who has 1 year left on his contract but will not sign another until he gets the funds he desires.

We have an owner who says " sign a contract and show your intentions and then I'll hand you funds for transfers."

Why would any right minded person hand a manager a fortune when that manager has only 1 year left of a contract and could make a right mess then walk away...plus not be able to sign the players he wants with players knowing he has not signed an extension.

You can argue both ways in this stand off but the truth is nobody would be arguing if they were holding the cash and owning the club.
It's easy for anyone to demand that Ashley backs down and hands Rafa whatever he wants, but not so easy if they were in the shoes of the man.

    My simple scenario is this:
If Rafa refuses to sign an extension on his 5 million a year contract, then give him nothing or sack him.

The man has not done enough to start dictating at Newcastle United.
He's an employee on a mammoth wage who's done fairly well without being anything special.
Only pundits and bandwagon jumpers think he's some kind of genius.

I wouldn't bat an eyelid if he walked tomorrow, seriously.
Nothing will ever be good enough for him and the whining will never stop.

So I’m a bit confused here maybe I’m missing something

Ashley has apparently stated that Rafa can have every penny generated by the Club

Ashley has also stated that he will not put another penny into the Club and it has to stand on its feet and be self sufficient

So with the two above statements then Rafa knows exactly how much he has to work with

But then you get the statement from Charnley that there will be money available for transfers

Now something it just quite not right here

    It's like this terry
Remember when you got paid in cash each week
    You took your rent out
Gave the missus the house keeping
And what was left you had

    ThTs what charnley is saying

    There is a transfer fund
But only after all the. Ills have been paid
