I would be massively surprised if that happened but really happy.
Ashley thinks with his wallet. He's thinking give his manager as little as he can this summer to get deals "over the line" with along with the usual price ceiling clauses in place then before we know it its "January is a difficult window" time.
He will let a good manager walk next summer then he is back to square one with a new mug. Able to spin the same yarns all over again to new blood, pleading poverty while at the same time telling the fans to keep them onside that he still wants to sell but in reality doesn't so asks for more than the clubs worth. Rinse and repeat. See a pattern?
A charlatan as a business man, a fraud as a PL team owner and a proven in court liar as a person.
Fair play to him though, hes getting away with it.
The promoted teams will spend more. So will the other two from last season.
Prove me wrong Mike.
Notice the season ticket hike was released a day or so before the fixtures coming out. Bury bad news like the feckn politicians.
Seems to be the average quoted budget between 40 and 50 million .. including wages .
So we pay £20m for Kenedy and assume wages of £70k a week ( nowt excessive)..on a 3 year deal.. total..£31m.
so the next would be a £10m plus wages and theres your £50m gone .
Another sell off and a couple of loans is gonna be it .

I have neither seen nor heard anything at all since the end of tje season to suggest i made a wrong decision (to cancel my tickets) back in january....
I did however receive an email last week offering me tge chance to "keep" my seats and renew at the new prices.
Apparantly i didnt cancel my tickets, i only cancelled my price freeze priveleges???
No thanks mike, i do not want to pay your new price for a ticket i viewed as a gamble at your old price.
(Note - shift work and family commitments mean i miss 5 or 6 games a season anyway)
