And if you're worried about kids, I'd be far more concerned about the drive to legalise cannabis, than about an obscure betting company logo on the shirt of a football club.

Anyway mon ami, more important things to discuss, who's going to win le Tour, I reckon Quintana could get his nose put out of joint by that domo they've signed from Sky. He played second fiddle to Froome, I'm not convinced he will for Quintana, unless Quintana can prove he's the stronger, and I doubt he can.
the IT in question - is Laba360..."bet anytime anywhere" they say - here they are: https://www.laba360.co.uk/#/...and proudly promoting themselves as the Burnley Official club sponsor.
As for the (as you see it) patronising wording - well as I see it.....the online environment is uncontrolled, it is addictive - and influence is all power in this dominion - but thats only the start - the process begins from when that click hits the browser - and noone are immune...being the effect on behaviour / thought process, is immediate....there's no boundary, the enviroment is stuck in the screen - so it's only another small invisible step to the influence of the intangible addiction of a 24h/365d betting environment.....and as for kids - parents could be too busy playing the odds or too consumed with chasing losses to have them - so no need to worry about Pot purchase - though neglect or abuse could lead toward drugs I suppose - like I said - it's Nasty - and imo - Burnley Fc don't have any need to push that sh@t.

Mikel Landa is a Movistar....but will he upstage the leading man - it's all in the preparation.

    Cheers Sinkov.

I've clicked on the link norder, thanks for that, because I know absolutely nothing about this company, and it says 'Under Maintenance' so I still know nowt about them. Quite honestly I think the worries about gambling are massively overblown, some individuals are going to get addicted and have problems, George Best liked a bet but it wasn't gambling that destroyed his liver, my son has spent hours and hours playing online poker, but it was the packet of fags in his bedroom that concerned me more. I might get concerned if this logo on our shirt leads to queues of youngsters in WHSmith buying the Racing Post, determined to go through the card at Haydock Park or Aintree, but it's not going to happen, I have faith that 99% of people are by no means as gullible as some assume, the weak minded ones will always find a way to get themselves into trouble, no matter what's on the front of a football shirt. I appreciate your concerns but I don't share them, I am quite relaxed about BFC trousering millions of this company's advertising budget. Imo it will do no harm whatsoever.

I can't imagine Landa would have signed for Movistar if he hadn't been promised he'd be off the leash in the Tour. What they have told Quintana is another matter, but if I was he, I'd be very twitchy about my position in the pecking order for this race. I'll be having a little bet on Landa to win this, but not with our shirt sponsors you'll be pleased to know.

Laba360 went live recently and will focus on the UK, Asia and emerging markets across Africa and South America.
It has partnerships with a number of content partners and aims to add more as it builds up its brand and presence in the coming months.

So basically no one knows what it’s going to do and it’s website is still under construction - a bit like its logo. Hope we get the money upfront!!

sinkov ---I agree with your sentiments, although I think that we are from a different era who still largely think for ourselves and are not that easily led by what we see on TV. There are so many betting companies that feature adverts during lots of programmes and I just switch off to them. Likewise, I have no desire to go online to gamble, it is my choice.
People are too easily brainwashed these days and they have to have a go so that they can face their friends ---none of that has ever bothered me or my missus. I suppose we are miserable buggers but happy with it ---and healthy!

Marlboro fags and Formula 1 parted company for obvious health and ethical reasons.

24 million England fans watched the Colombia match, no wonder the betting companies want their product splashed all over EPL shirts!

Just my opinion, but I don't think these adverts, or shirt sponsorship deals, are at all designed to persuade non-believers to change their ways and succumb to the dubious delights of online gambling, or to entice youngsters to sample the delights either. Rather they are aimed at those like me, who are already account holders with numerous different companies, just to raise awareness of their existence and perhaps open an account with them as well, they're all about grabbing a share of an already huge and expanding market, not new entrants.

link is up and running here - and don't see any maintenance notice - but nothing of any interest to see there anyway.....ever.

no need for a jog to the bookies and back nowadays - sinkov....as you know, this is the digital age - a click and it's gone.....As for the gullible/weak minded - i'd say that they're most likely their primary target of exploitation...as what say, our generation see as green - has been gradually morphed into something much milder and unsuspicious....it just isn't what it was - and all steadily helped along by the raising of need by the foolery of a digital creation - its fix is the new normal....So as the young (getting older) spend more and more of their precious time flicking their thumbs on plastic to get to the next level of some imaginary game - there'll inevitably be more who look to take advantage of that increasingly closing digital divide that defines fiction from fact... .
It also seems - that BFC has also changed it's colours - so during games - I will now wear Black.

I dont know - Sinkov - but if Landa was brought in to be his no1 Dom...then Quintana couldn't have better to pull him along - as you say, Landa can go all the way, so Nairo has to be up for it - otherwise, there's only one way and it's back.

    Cheers.

Just tried the link again norder, still says Under Maintenance for me. No problem though, I have no more interest in this company than you do, except the idle curiosity of wondering just who and what our shirt sponsors are.

Just a quick explanation of where I'm coming from on gambling. For many years, if I had a free Saturday I had two options, if Burnley were at home or playing locally I would go to the game, if not I'd spend the afternoon in the bookies. Most times an afternoon in the bookies was by far the most enjoyable experience of the two, as we floundered in the lower divisions, but that's another story. From a financial aspect, if it was the footy I would cough up my tenner at the turnstile and wave bye bye to it, I would never see it again, gone, £10 down on the day. Or I took the same tenner to the bookies, on a bad day I might wave bye bye to my tenner there as well, more often I would leave with some of it intact, sometimes I would leave with more than my tenner, sometimes considerably more, but whatever, from a financial aspect, the bookies was a much better proposition than Turf Moor.

However, when I told friends, family or neighbours that I'd been in the bookies all afternoon, I would get funny, disapproving looks, raised eyebrows, if I told them I'd been to a football match this was accepted as a perfectly normal, rational way to spend an afternoon.

Given the evidence of my wallet, I always did, and still do, find this illogical.

Also illogical is Landa going to Movistar as a domo for Quintana, that was the very situation he wanted to escape from at Sky, and there is no doubt he considers himself a potential Tour winner. Maybe Quintana thinks he's still the number 1, maybe Movistar have told him he's still the number 1, but the management of a Spanish cycling team can be even more cynical than your average Colombian footballer. My money's on Landa.

sinkov --the choice was yours and you enjoyed it so ---why not?
Although I am not a a gambler I do not think badly of those who are. In most cases you have choices to make and it is your choice --nobody else is involved --unless you are on an operating table or something and that may be a big gamble anyway!
People are far too judgemental so just do your own thing anyway.

Supersub, I've been betting on the gee-gees since I left Accy Grammar in 62. Nothing's going to stop me now........well not until they screw that lid down anyway.
