He's probably realising that Orta is full of sh1t and that we are more a Club settling for what we can afford and that we can't back up our ambitious narrative with the actions to match it.

Vydra is supposed to be on big money at Derby so maybe he is asking for prem league style wages - who knows - or maybe e won’t pay 10m until sure his injury is not serious?
for 10m we could buy a very very good striker elsewhere
I'm impressed at the Govian transformations of one or two people here!
It's amazing what a few weeks without having to watch that turgid sh ite from Christmas onwards can do to polish the situation up and believe such limited quality can be turned into a (like the "Blunts") promotion-chasing squad.
If he does it, he truly is a genius.
Jez, the situation CAN be very different, it depends on those who are making the landscape. If Bielsa sees potential, and is prepared to stick with us to prove he is right, if he tells Orta to shove his ideas where the sun don't shine, if he works the squad into a TEAM, that plays for each other, plays for the honour of wearing the shirt first, second and last, then he will walk in water and the fans (including yours truly), will love him.
What's so wrong about wanting and believing that is posible, instead of hankering after some Ronaldo-like saviour who is more interested in which side of their face is to the camera, than being a player for Leeds United?
My local side Norwich are still making signings, just took Jordan Rhodes on loan, we could have done worse!
Nothing mate, didn't say there was anything wrong with it, just noted that it's an impressive and unexpected bit of optimism.
PS - I'd make do with 5 really good championship winners who have secured promotion for their team previously though - one Ronaldo-like savior doesn't make a promotion season. Unless he's the manager of course
Not that diferent to what I've said so often before. Side before self applies from top to bottom in the club, or should. So often in recent years there have been false dawns built on fantasy and unrealistic expectations.
This may be another, but........if this maverick, non-English speaking self-confessed egocentric (yes, he is), can make a squad into a team, WITHOUT the "marquee" signings others have mentioned then for once it will be about self-belief. If he does that, they should be afraid of no-one, doubt none of their capabilities.
For the record, if we sign no more in this window and we are indeed successful, Orta should be dispensed with, forthwith.
It depends who he uses, but if Bielsa can do with them that which Christiansen and Heckingbottom couldn't, I won't be complaining (and it will prove he is indeed a miracle-maker).
There have always been some of the intake from last season who were ok/good (Saiz & Alioski in particular). Few of the rest are still with us (Ekuban and Anita being significant amongst those), and if they can be made good, somehow, more strength to Bielsas arm, but no more "bargain bucket" trawls, be more incisive in who we recruit from here on, then we don't have the burden on wages of draoo players and the club can focus on making diamonds out of the rough
