Just in touch with reality and not pishing my pants

Of course I would like for us to win these games and go on an invincible run that ends up with a domestic treble and Europa League in the bag.
Qualify for Champions League and then progress to get some real quality teams and player come to Aberdeen.
    Not likely though is it?

Incidentally, I did not state that I think we would get beat in all three games.

the lack of transfer activity is starting to become unbelievable.

the lack of senior backup players is very alarming.

    Sub keeper currently = Craddock
Sub right back currently = Considine (w Reynolds left back)
Sub right centre half = Considine (w Reynolds left back)
    Sub centre mid =Ferguson
    Sub winger = Wright

Really worrying before you even mention we don't have a striker who can score a goal.

I don’t doubt for a minute that you don’t want us to win every match...we all want that.

The reality of our current situation is that I think we will lose the first 3 matches unfortunately. Do you think we will do anything in the 3 matches?

    Yip, pretty much spot on.
To be fair to McInnes, I'm sure he'll be far from happy about it too.
Put it this way, in the unlikely event he gets an offer from a club elsewhere, do we think he'd knock it back?

I'm pretty sure IF (and I say IF as opposed to when) we sign say 4 players, I'm pretty sure it'll be squad fillers and bench filling sh1te such as Nowak....followed up by 3 others from England's lower leagues.

The chances of McGeoch standard signings being made are virtually nil.

They are tough games no doubt.
I can't say how we will fare in these games, there are a lot of caveats.
Sniffing about the Burnley forum, many of their fans are not bothered about progressing in the Europa League.
They're bread and butter is the Premiership. They received circa £129M last year from the Premier League so getting a couple more from Europa is seen as small fry, especially when they are concerned about long trips on a Thursday and having to play Sunday league games.
They could end up doing like West Ham did when they were knocked out by Astra Giurgiu a couple of years ago.
Alternatively, being their first foray into Europe for over 50 years and with Sean Dyche's mentality and opportunity to increase his stock more, they may take Europe seriously and want to progress as far as they can.
Right now, I'd guess a home draw for us and an away loss.

for the SevCo game, I already said it could go either way.
I'll sit on the fence and say a score draw.

I'd be more inclined to think Harrington will be our back up right back. Why not utilise the youth?

It's true were lacking in a right sided centre half as back up.
No doubt that's why Nowak's being looked at. Probably too early to call upon Lloyd Robertson.
Tough call as we don't want to spend too much on back ups and preferably we'll see Devlin play in all our games.

I watched the Youth Cup final, when we played Hibs, and Harrington played.
Now I'll admit I've only seen him play once, but he was bang average in that game.
Maybe there's a reason he's barely, if ever, been on the subs bench?

Would be far more impressed with getting Caulker on board than dealing in Nowak. If he’s mentally attuned, we’d be getting a player out with our price range. Would have far more confidence in trying three at the back with him alongside Devin and McKenna and utilising the best two wing-backs in the league. Considine and Reynolds as cover - would be a strong defensive pool.

Would leave Russ to come up with holding midfielder that can cover right-back, preferably who’s played a bit of competitive football over last couple of seasons and isn’t mince. Then it would just be the unveiling of Christie, Hayes and Moult on permanent deals and we can all get on with our bedding laundry. Could give Nowak the reserve keeper gloves.

Im inclined to believe the huns are stronger than us, much more, Even hibs look stronger, they only lost Mcgeouch and look like retaining Mcginn, surely even the most positive of fans are worried! Our squad is threadbare! If dm does not address this and sharpish ill stick my head out and predict we will finish 4th and F all cups again
