might have been a minority i accept

but booing one of your own

You've slagged a lot of the players off on here though haven't you? And the manager? At any given time right? In my opinion you're a circus.

SIR BOBBY ROBSON has hit back at the Newcastle United boo-boys, claiming the club's supporters have short memories in calling for him to be axed.
The Magpies have endured a torrid start to the new season after crashing out of the Champions League and are still awaiting their first Premiership win of the campaign.

The lacklustre advent to the term has seen Robson come in for heavy criticism from a section of fans, who want the veteran boss to be relieved of his duties after four years at the helm.

But Robson has slammed the supporters calling for his head by insisting they have forgotten how much work and energy he has put in to rebuilding the club.

Robson wants the fans to remember his role as the club's saviour and is confident he can kick-start this season, if he is handed that precious commodity in football - time.

"This club was shipwrecked when I arrived," Robson told The SP. "Staff here weren't worried about going into the First Division, they were worried about going into the second.

"They could see this club getting relegated twice. The criticism isn't nice and it isn't right.

"It hurts, it's not pleasant but it's the way things are these days. The game lives on this sort of thing. I know it comes with the territory but I did not expect it at Newcastle.

"We need more time, like everybody does, and the management and the players believe if we are given that time then we will turn it around.

"I am not bitching or complaining about it and I don't look worried and I don't sound worried because I don't think there is much here to worry about."

the above is Sir Bobbys own words
    when fans were booing him
i like the bit about where he says the team was struggling and fans werent worried about going into the first but indeed the second

doesnt seem to me as everything was as rosy as peole think

loyal fans we dont turn on our own ???
well that is from Sir Bobby
    one of our own

now like him i was at those games and fans were booing him

    season ticket holders
the same peope having a go at ash etc

should hang their heads in shame
    what makes it more sickening
i know at least 5 of them were at the game when Sir bobby was weeled onto the pitch

I think we can all agree that booing Sir Bobby, if that's what happened and it might have been, was disgraceful.

In all honesty, you will always have a section of the fans booing/being against the current manager of the team. Sometimes the minority, those who boo, are the loudest and are somehow being made to represent a larger section of the supporters, even if they don't.

You yourself is in the minority at the moment in terms of being against Rafa's management of the team; are you saying you wouldn't boo him if we lost a certain number of games on the trot?

I remember some fans booing Carl Cort and Robson defending him saying he is one of my signings,I never heard any of our fans booing Robson.

he was and i believe one of if not the worst prem manager we have had (full time ) results wise

    still wouldnt boo him

but all those numpties that say fans didnt boo sir bobby obviously dont go to games
it is there in his own words
his own words say fans were more scared of going down two divisions rather than just one we were getting that bad

and that is sir bobby having a go at the then geordie owners

nowhere does it say booing over several games in fact they only mention is
is"SIR BOBBY ROBSON has hit back at the Newcastle United boo-boys" usually reference to doom amd gloom merchants
the first reference to booing by bobby was when the TEAM were booed off when they played wolves indeed a common practice whenteams dont pay like supporters expect them to play - i say again only 2 home games were played in the 04/05 season before bobby fell out with shepherd
