Wheel and deal with every penny

    Outs
    Merino 10m
    Mbemba 6m
    Sels 3m
    Mitro 22m
    Total £41m

    Ins
    Dubravka 4m
    Schar 3m
    Muto 10m
    Total £17m

If Rafa is meant to wheel and deal then he now has £24m to spend with mitro's exit.

shoula Rafa really go for Rondon? Can't we find someone better?

players that could still be sold:
    Armstrong 3m to blackburn
    saivet 2m to turkey
lazaar 1m to some Italian fizzy club

thats another 6m to add onto the 24m making it 30m....surely we can find a better striker than Rondon...

before you you go on to talk about instalments...I'm not buying it...we have just banked 50m in to money and that can subsidise the purchase

We will sign Rondon and Bryan (at best)

    Don't expect anything else.

We WILL finish this window in profit.

I'll be gutted if we get Rondon.

Yup it would seem that way...

Plus add on all the savings Rafa has made in clearing out some really bad stocks over the last two seasons....all those wages saved!

    Riviere
    De Jong
    Murphy
    Hanley
    Anita
    Goufran
    Thauvin
    Krul

I wonder what our wage bill should be sitting at as we speak

We could also get rid of Darlow, do we really need 4 keepers?

The major problem is that we don't have much time left...

Would be happy enough to lose darlow but our most pressing issue is a proper striker.

An 8 goals last season striker plus whatever Rondon got-about the same?-is not going to cut it.

    Suits Ashley perfectly

Cash in on last year's good season

    Sell a few for profit

    Spend next to nothing

    Get relegated

    Take the parachute payments

Spend a little more than the other promotion favourites

    Get promoted

    Repeat

    Dead in the water

Makes sense to me but we are talking about Ashley here, what he says and what he does are two different things.

Yep it's Ashley we're taking about...

But if that man has any bit of common sense then he knows if he doesn't give Rafa at minimum the money he has sold players then he should know that Rafa will never renew his contract.

It started with every penny the club generates, then it went on to wheel and deal which is the same as sell to buy. So if Rafa doesn't get the full chunk of player sales to use then we can just wave our hands and say goodbye!

    Rafa has trimmed the wage bill tremendously;

    Look at our squad; we have less than 30 senior players; even if you factor an avg wage of £50,000/week which is on the higher side; that would come to;

50k x 52weeks x 30players = 78m which is less than half the clubs revenue generated minus player sales.

Rafa needs backing, and he needs it now, if Ashley is trying to wait for the January window then it might be too late

Ashley doesn't want Rafa to stay...

He just wants it to look like Rafa is walking away.
