UEFA demand plastic seating if we get to group stages.

Burnley are set to request an away match first should they reach the Europa League group stages in order to carry out required ground improvements.

UEFA have told the Clarets that 2,000 wooden seats in the away end at Turf Moor must be removed and replaced with new plastic seats if they progress beyond the qualifying rounds.

That is to make sure Burnley - who face Istanbul Basaksehir in the third round next week - are compliant with regulations.

As long as it is only the away end then that is fine. I love my seat in the Bob Lord stand!

This is because you can't trust Johnny Foreigner to behave himself, and not chuck the wooden seats at UEFA officials and useless referees.

I fail to understand why the wooden seats are OK for the EPL, which as far as I know falls within the auspices of EUFA?

Bum note: the kilt wearing Jocks from Aberdeen did not complain about getting splinters up their arses!

Could we not just refuse to comply. Then hopefully they would throw us out of the competition and we could concentrate on the PL, and all without the disappointment of losing a football match.

    Win Win.

Must admit to thinking exactly the same sinkov!
