I am afraid in this day and age, stupidity and trash and bad taste seem to be lauded as the new chic and celebrity status. You only have to look at some of the TV programmes that are so popular with a lot of the nation. Love Island, Ex on the beach, Celebrity get me out of here and Big Brother. Talentless, foul mouthed guys and gals swearing and arguing, and the TV people desperate for any couple to have *** because it will raise the profile of the programme. So actually, in this climate of bad taste and filth the comical boiler mascot is just actually a harmless bit of silliness. What would be the harm in seeing him celebrating a goal with Baggie Bird and Boinging with the crowd? He would look stupid and funny and maybe put a smile on people's faces.
