I used to trade and deal in a very difficult market-albeit nothing to do with football. However if I valued something at £50.000 and somebody offered me an insulting £30.000 bid I would politely show them the door.If they persisted with insulting incremental bids then nothing pleased me more than to sell the item at £45-47.000 to another buyer then wait for the call with the next insulting bid only to inform them the item was sold.Invariably the real customers learnt by their mistakes and made respectable offers on future items.Unfortunately BFC do not learn by their mistakes.
BFC tactics only work if the selling club is skint and it was obvious from day one both WBA and Swansea were not.
