We played ultra defensive and rough - it wasn't pretty to watch but it worked, till we got shafted by a dodgy penalty decision.

I feel we should have got something from that game, i really do.

Mind you i felt that about spuds game as well.

Which means we're having a worrying trend where we should maybe get something and instead end up with nothing, we need that to turn.

Agreed. But the point I would make is that we can't be expected to beat teams like Spurs and Chelsea, so if we've come close then that's something.

It's more the Cardiff game that worries me.

Problem is that we can't score. I'm not convinced that Rondon is the answer to the question. Sure he didn't get service today but even when he does, I'm not confident.

Rondon + Joselu front line = Not enough goals. In fact, it's got relegation written all over it.

Disappointed not to get a point today. But without possession or meaningful attacking build-up, even a point seems a point too far.

Not being able to score has been our problem for several seasons though.

If the fat man won't release the funds we need to buy a striker that can consistently score we're always going to be in that position and we all know he won't' release the £30 million minimum needed.

Not being able to buy the players he needs to strengthen the squad, has hamstrung our manager more than anything else.

To run these big spending clubs close is almost an achievment.

As has already been said, nit beating cardiff is more of a worry than tge 2 games we have lost.

    we werent close

    less than 20 percent possesion

    at home
    only 2 shots on target
our two main men out granted

but we have more attack minded players than we do defenensive

    play to the players strengths

    We WERE close.

We lost by the odd goal in 3, their 2 goals were a pen and an own goal and our keeper had few saves to make.
