We have been well and truly rumbled!!!

It looks like we are going to be in for a long and very hard season if what I have seen so far continues in terms of tactics and general game management. Today's team was pretty much as per last years with the exclusion Pope/Heaton & Defour. That really begs the question what has changed: luck well that's always a factor but it seems to me that opposition teams now fully understand and prepare for how Burnley play and have worked out the strengths/weakness of our team and how too deal with us. My question is given the players we have now what would you change if anything to get us back on winning ways because it seems an age since we last won a game that meant anything? My own view is our Midfield just can't provide enough chance and creativity nor protect the back four enough. Major issue not having strengthened in this area I fear and at present I can see us in a relegation scrap.

    .

have said it before...imo -last season, other than the big boys at the top , oddly, the play of the larger part was well below par for the PL, as could've put them up against any of the top half championship - and I doubt there would've been much in it - so we were lucky, we mostly kept our shape, with strong defence, and excellent goal....just enough to make conceding minimal and nick the odd one ourselve's, it was something, when the majority rest had little to nothing - but all was made obvious as we got deeper into the season, we weakened, as the others started to get their act together and - raise their game...but by that time, we were secure.
So what should have been realised, as was also obvious...was that they weren't going to make the same mistakes again - had already settled, and lifted their game...and with some good signings, they strengthen again - making it even harder for Burnley...but then we'd follow suit, right ? as think of that defence of ours...how reliant we were, how tough a season they had - they kept us in it....so surely, they wouldn't be expected to do it all over again - that'd be a joke right - problem is, it isn't, because,as you say deadly...there still isn't enough of the creative in front of them - the pressures still there.
So...That's how important the need to make some big changes over the transfer period - anything else was courting failure - therein's the exasperation of many - whats being seen and felt, goes against the next natural step- which is to build and go on stronger - a balance of effort...head held high whatever - not to piss around and risk falling with a whimper.
And what if some of the players have that same feeling - and what if there's others that perhaps don't give a damn cos they're on a healthy wage and thank their lucky stars for being there - what do we have left ?...well, whatever can get off the bench that can help lift us and drag us through until the Jan window I guess.
