I went to school with the Wilkinsons at St Mary's, Valley Road. Always had patches of that purple Gentian Violet they used to treat skin diseases or something back then. No, sota, I don't know who you are. Btw, it wasn't Tommy Uttley - they were near neighbours on Ridgeway. It was one of the Lunt brothers who lived up on Oldfield Road. The Wilkinsons must have been RC. I have just been looking at the map of my old daily walk from Ridgeway to St Mary's, along Farnsworth, down Cawthorne, along Cawthorne Close to the fields and then down and across Valley Road. Lost times.
