I cant see why this guys speed and balance didn't cut it in the prem, maybe Benitez's set up didn't suit him?
The fact that Benitez wanted Rondon might prove that point.

Because they wanted Rondon. They actually believed the lazy media view that he was a decent player, with pace, who could hold the ball up.
No way on this planet would Rondon have scored that first goal yesterday.

I would rather have Gayle by a mile as quicker feet and speed of thought! That said, Newcastle supporters seem happy with what they have seen of Rondon, and with him being a honest hard working guy - I hope he does well for them!

I hope he does really well so they buy him. They're probably still in the mindset that if he gets a chance he'll score. They'll learn.

There's only ever been one Jeff Astle. Other than him we have really benefited over the years by having nippy quick players. My favourite type anyway. Willie Johnston will always be my favourite but Gayle if we could keep him you feel could be a legend here.

Could not disagree, but wish the guy well - at least he has not crapped on his contract and handled the move away professionally.

They have actually got rid of two better forwards than what they are left with.
