I was at De La Salle with a guy called Steve from Kimmy and stayed at their house a couple of times. Can't remember his surname or address but the bus went past the Domino a few minutes after his stop.

Never went in, sickly. Drank in the Bridge Inn, Tabard and Stag but I didn't drink much in those days. As for getting old it's a pain in the rrse. I intend to investigate the availability of some painless, quick-acting poison as there's no way I want to end up with some Bulgarian wiping my bum.

Was more of a Dickens, Cross Keys and Mail Coach man.

Used to drink in a pub either on Brecks Lane or Dalton Lane on the way down to Dalton from Ridgeway. There's a pub there now called Dene Brook but not sure if the one I used has been demolished. I remember it being nearer the road.

Monty, it’s alwzys been the dene brook. Used to frequent it very well in the early 80’s. Maybe your mind is playing tricks on you as it as always been slightly set back off the road.

It’s the only pub I’ve known for years on that stretch of country lane.

Must admit I don't recall any other put there.

Brin, you must be right. It's exactly in the right location. Must be getting confused in my dotage.

Its not a pub anymore these days.

Its a care home for adults with learning difficulties.

Most of the adults that used to frequent it when it was a pub appeared to have learning difficulties after a gallon to be fair.

Still it could worse, it could have been turned into an Indian Restaurant like so many other old pubs have.

Wonder just how many pubs have shut in Rotherham over the last 10-20 years.

    Must be dozens and dozens.

Cheap supermarket ale and the smoking ban have played a big part. Wouldn't want to go back to smoke filled pubs tbh though.
