    Same with Shelvey been injured so couldnt start but to not even bring him on when we were 2 down was a joke

    point is jet lagged and maybe still unfit = useless on the day

    now you could counterargue that loads of the other players were useless.. but that's hardly anyones fault except their own

    and you have to take into account the unexpected lascelles injury and substitution which reduced our options

    Surely he could have been put on for the last 15 minutes otherwise what was the point in having him on the bench, i know our squad is awful with only him and joselu as striking options but thats for another thread, same with shelvey at least it would have shown some attacking intent rather then Rafa's usual negative subs

    yeah he could have, he could have done lots of things, i would have been very happy to see both of them on the pitch. i was only giving a credible reason why he might not have used rondon.

    no one knoes except rafa and maybe his right hand men the reason why he didn't.

    Of course, i think we all agree he couldnt have started its just seems pointless not using him for a bit specially as he is in a bit of form of late
