Roy Ledger could well be the same RL that played with Pete Fender and the Strollers and Dave Berry amongst others.

A book that's available on kindle at Amazon is called " Not a proper job " it may jog people's memory of the pop music scene in Sheffield from 1955 to 1975.
Not read it just told it's a reasonable read but not to take everything as factual.

Roy Ledger is definitely the RL; played with quite a few groups including the Sheffields and was married to a vet and living in Dronfield in 2007.
