You could split the difference between Archibald & McInnes with a fag paper. Would McInnes have kept Thistle up? Possibly but by no means guaranteed. Could Archibald qualify & get us out of Europe with our budget? Possibly.
The real difference is that Archibald would represent much greater value for money.
Ideally, you would have neither
[QUOTE=redstarfk;39019605][QUOTE=Aldo1983;39019510]The "careful what you wish for" quote is an odd one in football. I wish we won things. McInnes won't be here forever, every one of us will still be here though. If you are so concerned that by him getting the sack and his replacement being pish, then you are a pant pisher (welcome aboard).McInnes got Bristol City relegated but many people think he's does wonders here. Football is a funny old game.
So , Aldo .....you still wishing for Alan Archibald to replace McInnes ?
We should all be very careful what YOU wish for
Yesterday you were calling me a "weirdo stalker" for replying to your posts
Maybe you should read up on events at Partick Thistle at the time. Or maybe the events with virtually every manager plying their trade in football. It's all ups and downs. Small budgets, big budgets, can't compete with teams due to playing costs outweighing someone else's...
Deek's time at St Johnstone gives grounds for believing that he would have done at least as well at Partick as Archibald did. I don't think Saints were ever relegated when Deek was there
There's nothing to suggest that Archibald would have done as well at AFC as McInnes has done. Consistently. Even if Archibald was on half the wages we're paying McInnes , it's not great value for money if we're back to the pre-McInnes standards.
Anyway , you still yearning for Kenny Shiels ?
