give it a rest min , cosgrove was relatively effective against st johnstone , he is there to try and do a job against specific teams , we cant afford a kane or lakaku , who gets abuse at his level as well , its just where we are

If you're happy with Cosgrove in your starting X1 you're accepting a very poor standard of player and in all likelihood a really drab game. The boy is never a footballer in a million years and should be binned. We scored on Saturday when the ball was kept on the deck, then resorted to firing high balls to a bloke who tends to shrink in size when he jumps. I'm not generally one for slating players but if Cosgrove is the standard of player we recruit, then we'll win zero.

I know what you mean ... he seems to arch his body rather than seeking to straiten it to gain a height advantage. Forrester too looks to be dreadful with his feet pointing at 1.50 pm. May also perhaps being played because he cost money? And why oh why can't McGinn ever keep more than one in ten shots under the bar - for gods sake McInness have a word with him! If his average strike rate was even 10% of attempts it's only 1% if 90% of his shots are off target ... he can't always aim for the top corner and tonight's attempt would have gone in if hit low and hard!

I can't believe some of these comments here. **** sake give Forrester and Gleeson a chance, they've only been AFC players a couple of months not years!!! Yes, they may turn out to be bad buys but you've got to give them a chance to bed in. It would be fantastic if they hit the ground running but better players than them have been through this scenario. Showing my age here but I remember when Billy McNeil signed Gordon Strachan from Dundee, high as a kite Dons fans were, but he contributed nothing. McNeil hardly gave him a chance as without Strachan he kept the same team together who were playing some of the best football I had ever seen at Pittodrie. Fergie became manager next season, folk groaned when Strachan was on, but in a Euro tie against Marek Dimitrov he came on as a sub, virtually scored with his first touch and never looked back
So just give these ****ers a chance, and I even include Stevie May with that. I do agree we should get rid of Cosgrove though. As soon as he signed and at his prolific scoring rate against quality opposition I knew he was not what I perceive as Aberdeen class

    I like your thinking.

To sum up, if we get rid of McInnes then the new manager will turn Forrester into a superstar?

    Nice.

    Absolute bollox.
And no I dont plan on giving it a rest, he is a muppet, and at best could perhaps get a place on the bench for Deveronvale or Buckie Thistle.
He might be as you say "here to try and do a job" fact is he is not doing it, never has done and never will. Like most of us in working life when you take on a new role you have a probation period and if you dont pass it and do you your job, you can quite rightly be shown the door, thats the way it works.
That clown should never have been brought in the door in the first place.
But if your happy to live with that as an acceptable level for our club then thats your prerogative as for me I just want what is best for my club. And that muppet is not acceptable level for us....

I think we should convert Cosgrove into a central defender as there is no way on this planet he is a striker.

Fit like pal, slightly disagree with you here min as I would take it one step further and argue that there is no way on this planet he a footballer.
