As I said in an above post. As a record collector back in the day digging in 2nd hand shops you find stuff that you would probably never know about. I was amazed to find many Tom Jones tracks that are so Soulful from back in his early career. One such record is.

Thanks to the work of "Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville" (I had to look his name up as I had forgotten it lol) who first recorded sound some 15 to 20 years before Edison did we get to hear wonderful music like this.
BigLad, this is authentic. My great, great, great grandfather happened to be present for Paganini's London debut in 1831. I have cleaned up his video recording which given it's 180 odd years old isn't too bad!

First let me congratulate you on such great work on the recording as it does indeed look fantastic for a 180 year old recording.
Secondly your great, great grandfather must have been minted to acquire a ticket for such a huge gig! I would also like to say that he had great taste in music.
If you look closely enough I swear a saw a pair of panties come flying out of the crowed just as the devils shadow was appearing but I will have to check again to make sure.
P:S Do you recommend the movie as I have not yet seen it?
First recorded by Jimmie Ague in 1934 and then made a huge hit by Dinah Washington in 1959? (Could have been a little earlier) it has been covered by so many people but here is something special. I hope you enjoy.
Back to my old crate digging days. Yes this is the same group that won the Euro song contest with save your kisses for me. Here they are as you have probably never heard them before.
