Thread: Northern Ireland

My experiences of people who believe in left of centre politics also believe in Republicism. A united Ireland run by the good folk of Ireland is one for the pot and good riddance to the Royalty and their hordes of hangers on for another.

I suppose all you Royalists are wetting yourselves at the prospect of watching another horse drawn parade riding through Windsor with yet another overly privileged piece of Royal totty dressed up to the nines at our expense?

A united Ireland is no longer a hypothetical, absurd idea. It is now inevitable and the DUP had better be prepared for when that day comes, because I don't think there are enough law enforcement officers on the Emerald Isle to protect them.

Hahahahaha I live in Ireland, have friends in Derry (not Londonderry) Belfast Cork Galway Enniskillen Irvinestown
All of those people who live there might have different religions in 2011 or 1975, wages, lifestyles. The have even different pets.
One thng they all have in common.
They can't stand other people deciding over there lives.
One reason why most of the worlf hates the English. Opinionated, self righteous, arrogant.

    Not my words.
The only thing hated more than an Englishman.. Is an American

So. There are idiots everywhere and the people of Derry have enough issues with high unemployment

There will never be a hard border, anyone discussing this is a fool. We revert back to laws pre 1974. Get a grip. And stop discussing things you know nothing about.

    Evening Seldom!

I was just reporting what a great time we had in Norther Ireland. This was our first visit although I have been to Ireland loads of times - I come from Irish Catholic heritage (Dublin). Where do you live?

But you must agree that parts of Derry and Belfast still have an undercurrent of division.

And I agree that the Irish (North and Eire) should sort it's own matters out without England playing big brother.

BUT...the way things are going in the Brexit talks, a hard border is still a real possibility. And that COULD lead to a right mess.

Obviously I hope to God that I am totally wrong.

A bit of whataboutery BT doesn't alter the fact that you lefties work yourselves up into a lather about a second rate buffoon like Trump, but are quite supportive of vile murderers like McGuiness and Adams, in fact your leader seems in thrall to them. I shouldn't really wonder at it though, just more typical lefty hypocrisy.
