Is it wrong that part of me would rather see us lose tonight then this end 0-0 just purely because I feel like HK would see this as progress in the right direction if we pick up a point

Something drastically needs to change because our midfield is clueless in attacking phases and we don't have any effective attacking options without Hemmings and Stead.

We're simply inviting so much pressure onto us sheerly from our own inability to hold possession or create any chances whatsoever.

I doubt Hemmings or Stead could have done anything tonight. You said it yourself - our midfield is clueless in attacking phases.

What frustrates me is that we're playing long balls up top as we do to John Stead expecting him to win a free kick or hold up the ball when he's not even on the bloody pitch.

It should be obvious to our management poor Dennis isn't going to win anything in the air against big 6ft League 2 center backs marking him, it's just poor game management to not have any form of tactical nous and at least attempt a plan B in the form of a through ball behind the back or getting it out to the wings, so frustrating.

God help us if Barnsley have any interest in progressing in the FA Cup.

You need one of the lads HK left scratching their heads at home to play through balls as you won’t get that from Milsom,Hewitt they like the easy pass....side to side or backwards?.

HK needs to take a long hard look at himself after that horror show tonight... When your team isn't playing then it's natural to use your bench to shake things up... He did do it after 60 minutes to take off his only striker and put on a CB... As confusing as that is to understand he failed to make another change no matter how dire and toothless we were... I am starting to think that HK is a bit of an arrogant sort who will live and die by his own stubborn dicisions... If he keeps this up then AH might get trigger happy around Xmas time... This rubbish is simply not good enough and I hope HK is made aware of it before it's too late

Dennis never got to even one of 30 hoofs out of defense......not one....it was pointless playing him

That's mainly because none of them got anywhere near him.

I genuinely feel sorry for him tonight.

Enzio made their defence work harder than Dennis because he’s got the ability to go past his man. I think Stall summed it up best when he said that he is still struggling to see what Dennis’ strengths are. I suspect it’s a fox in the box, but it’s definitely not playing with his back to goal. His touch is poor, and he’s not quick or strong enough to bring other players in (and no one was close enough to help him, anyway).
