I think, and this is an area not without stern competition, the Alex Miller era was the worst, most joyless, wholesalely moribund period in my lifetime of supporting AFC (first game October 1970).

Even the colour of the stadium seemed more gray.
It was dire......dire is not harsh enough.

The man was a positivity vacuum, he could suck the joy from....... anything.

He could've made a threesome with Beyonce and Shakira seem like overtime reorganising the filing system.

It seemed to always rain at every game I was at during those days, dark, dark spirit-sapping, soul-destroying nightmares.

I totally agree, which is why when people slate DM and compare with Hibs, ICT and the likes of Ross County, it’s worth remembering Alex Miller and how he was successful at St Mirren and Hibs before he came here.

    That doesn't make sense.

What does it have to do with it?

What's Alex Miller's 9 months in charge back 21yrs ago and his winning the Scottish cup 31yrs ago, got to do with folk slating Derek McInnes?

Alex Miller is clearly the better manager.
Moulded the team at St Mirren that went on to win the Scottish cup in 1987 and then won in his own right with Hibs in 92
He's available, get him back in.

Indeed, Hughes (ICT) and Butcher (Hibs) are available and lauded as more successful than McInnes, get them in.
Even McIntye (Ross County) we could possibly get in. Did a sterling job getting them relegated after winning the Scottish cup and is now at Dundee.

For those wanting to oust McInnes and lauding the success of these clubs in comparison, these managers are available* go get them in Milne.

It's really quite intriguing why these successful managers are available*

*McIntyre currently under contract at Dundee, but surely we could entice if desired

I don't think McIntyre won the Scottish Cup and not sure what Butcher won.

I certainly wouldn't like any of them as our manager and never have.

    So what's your point?

    Brilliant!!!

I hated the fact he was even mentioned for the job, let alone got it. He was so fvcking bad.

Best thing he ever did was do that little jig in the cup final when he played for the huns, as he was being torn a new one.

Will go down in history as the guy who was at the bottom of the Dodds / Winters deal (THE worst deal in our history?)
