What a stupid post
Christmas starts round about early November when all the shops start their annual earlier year by year sales pitches
Don't forget that in Spain,Portugal etc Jan 6th is a key date when the "Three Kings" are celebrated & presents are exchanged
All depends if you are referring to commercial or religious Christmas
Christmas starts when you here the first rendition of " Merry Christmas " by Slade on the radio .
It's all abart the preparation.
Christians begin their preparations for the birth of JC four weeks in advance leeting candles etc, then the big day, then the twelve days celebrating afterwards.
For Jules and other non-Christians Christmas begins wi the first sup on Mad Friday.
For me, as a Sun Worshipper (the big thing in the sky, not the paper), my big days are Dec 21st / 22nd, when the Solstice means the Sun ez not abandoned us and has returned to keep us alive on the planet. I go out hunting fo meyt in the form of birds, hogs etc whilst others gather fruits, herbs, vegetation and grains. We then spend a few days preparing the food and fermenting the grain for drink and evva big feast on Dec 25th.
