Rubbish week for most with an average of 4.1 and that was only thanks to a top-score of 10 from Pete and an 8 from Alf. Well played. Chalky's 1 means that this week's non-entrants, Piglet and Gards, lose out and in Piglet's case that's enough to drop him to third because Pete's score lifts him from fourth to second. AussieBranch is up three spots and is this week's top riser. Howoldboy scored poorly again and you can now throw a blanket over the top four spots. This is only the half way point so it's all to play for.

The bottom 4 seem to be tied together too and there's only 14 points between the 11 in the middle.

Newport v MK Dons was postponed so I'll hold the predictions over until it's played and award points then. Don't say I'm not good to you.

Piglet. Sit down. It may come as quite a shock, but there's no such person as Santa Claus. People have been lying to you all these years. It follows that there's no such thing as Santa's workshop and, even if there was, it wouldn't be in the Adirondacks. No point.

Scores this week between 3 and 8 with an average of 5.2, so few surprises. Well done to Howoldboy, Pete and Psaw with 8s. Crusha, Southblue and AussieBranch scraped 3s. Biggest movers were AussieBranch who dropped three spots to 9th; I managed to rise three to 9th. Gards didn't show up again. If he makes a resolution and returns in the New Year then fine, If he doesn't I'll take him off the table.

Really Piglet? Is Ethiopia anything like Barrow? Lake Tana is a bit remote, though Dek Island is quite cute, what with the ruins and all, but I was looking for Walney Island so no point.

What a daft week. I picked the games so that there were a good few (apparently) nailed on homes and aways and what happened? Seven draws, that's what happened. I was looking for scores of at least 9 and only Gaz got it with the top total of 10. He might have got more if he's bothered to forecast more than one score in Group B. I was on my way to Carlisle so didn't notice in time to tell him. Shame.

Buc managed to get nowt, which was bad news for the gimps; Acido, Barbles and Gards. Acido and Buc are down a huge 5 places as a result while good scoring from Alf and Gaz puts them up 5. Gards will drop off next week if he doesn't enter as he's been missing for weeks. I'll put him back if he returns.

At the top, Howoldboy was average again and Pete is now only 2 points away in second place. HE'S BEHIND YOU. Oh yes he is. If Mullen and Piglet don't look out they'll be back in the pack where 9 of us are split by only 6 points. All to play for.
