We don’t have a divine right to do well, and if we go down this year it will be on merit. I hope it doesn’t come to that, obviously, but maybe we do need to go down to reset and rebuild. There appears to be something rotten at the heart of our club, no matter who is at the helm.

Luton went through far worse times than us and look at them today. Same with Lincoln, Exeter, Tranmere and Mansfield, all of whom have ultimately come back stronger. Who’d have thought that Lincoln would now be averaging 9,000, for example.
The way we're going and the luck we have, we'll probably end being kicked down further like Darlington, Stockport etc. If we go down I think we'll be in the non league for a long time.

NOTHING has come close in Notts County's recent history to the appointment of Jamie Fullash!te.

NOTHING has come close in mismanagement terms as the 'appropriation' of Mike Edwards Testimonial match money.

I could go on but i'm bored to death with threads like this. Yes we are cr@p and IMO we have less than a 50% chance of playing league football next season.

What the hell - there are more important things in life than football...
So, tell us what's more important than football?

I’m beginning to think that a group of Chinese investors/owners that know absolutely nothing about the great game could come in and do a better job than current/previous owners
I could also say the same for a couple of chubby Americans, they could probably come in and do a better job at running a ‘soccer club’

We are in dire trouble but this has been coming for ages. It looks like some are starting to smell the coffee?
As soon as Trew took over at Notts I from the start knew what type of person he and his cronies where yet the amount of ar*e licking that went on was incredible from all quarters, you know first hand how the Trews and Rodwell ruined good peoples lives and reputations which I don’t believe Hardy is doing as he just wants the best for Notts with no hidden agendas and agree that he is making a bit of a hash at it but at least his heart is in the right place and hope and pray Ardley can get us out of this mess.

McCullochisGod, if you had taken over instead of Hardy which I know was an option once then I and the true fans of Notts would have backed you all the way despite any hiccups as you too have the clubs best interests at heart.

Anyone talking about RT favourably, let alone calling for him to return, should try dig-up and have a read of the thread about the Jimmy and Jack statue fund which was posted on here a year or two ago.

And that’s before we even get into him making his wife Chief Exec and the damage that caused.

Relegation to the Conference is deadly serious - we have to understand that it could be the end, one way or another.
I have to say having watched them for 68 years there have been times when we have diced with exiting the Football League in that time, but I have to say that sadly I fear this time maybe just for real. We have never really recovered from the Administration years, we may have a Dressing Room fit for the Premiership but those who occupy most of the Lockers are not it would appear fit for Victoria Embankment Football.

That I fear is the Long & the Short of it, Sir Jimmy, Jack Son, Arthur & Bill would turn in their graves if they saw most of this Shower wearing the famous old shirts.

Like it or not, that is FACT !!!!

Alan Hardy has his faults (as do we all) but I think he will feel severely let down by the so-called football professionals in which he has invested a considerable sum of money. He backed Kevin Nolan in the summer (and before) to sign the targets he wanted, and by and large those signings have not performed.

I think the Chairman has to accept responsibility for the Kewell situation, having targeted him and then decided 10 weeks later that he wasn't what he thought, but that aside I think Hardy is still entitled to expect far more than he's getting for his money.

Years ago when we were in a similar position, it was largely because the Trust Board simply didn't have any money to invest and we got a team to match the budget, but by all accounts our current budget is a very competitive one, so the Chairman has done the biggest part of his job by making good resources available. Those in the boardroom are told not to interfere and let the football professionals get on with their job, but when they do it as badly as this, you couldn't blame the Chairman for demanding more for his (and our) money.

Not to mention the attempted theft of Mick Edwards' testimonial money.
