We are in the table where we expected to be.
If we finish fourth bottom it’s job done.
Expectations got raised with some of the results.
The target is still the same to stay up.

Isn't this doom and gloom a bit premature.
We've played badly vs Reading first half and all of yesterday.
Second half vs Reading we were back to our usual standards and we had a right good go at WBA without giving up. They had a prem striker who doesn't miss at cship level. We hit woodwork twice, two cleared off line and should have scored from two pens one of which wasn't given......this vs an ex prem team. I wouldn't agree our standards dropped it's just they were more clinical and forced us into errors.
Yesterday we were awful but weren't given two pens for blatant handballs in their area. Fine lines
One and a half bad performances hardly makes a crisis.
A couple of tweaks to the playing squad may very well bring a few victories we need

Someone the £7m that we have as a club. I think the last time we were in the Championship our players wages was that and to be honest I can't see us paying less than that now. The £1m for the ground loan leaves £3m but then you have to calculate the coaching staff, the groundsmen, the scouting network which is employing another overseas/cheif scout then there is the media people and everyone who works at the stadium. How much do we pay SYP, the security people and the controllers on matchday? There are the signing on fees that are divided up for the duration of the contracts and are paid each year to each player. There are the additional wages for ex managers and players who have signed contracts and are being paid after leaving the club.
We are what we are and unless we sell we cannot buy. Each time we are chasing someone we get the player choosing another club because of wages.
Soemone has to go out before we can get one in is what we're told. I hate it when someone says that we don't ever want to go back to collecting with buckets again and I'm sure that we won't.
We have got a chairman who is honouring what he set out to do with Rotherham United. We're in the Championship and up to now we have played some above average football for the below standard players that we have. I don't mean that to be disrespectful to the players but really can you see many of our players in any other team in the Championship? One or two maybe but the rest are giving their all and doing bloody well.
We can't compete financially with vast majority of the teams in this division but we have shown that we can on the pitch.
January will show Stewarts true colours - something which gets said every single year around this time. His colours are red and white and have been for the last ten years. Even if we go crazy and spend millions, it doesn't guarantee anything. We'll still be the smallest club in the division and the one everyone expects to beat.
Would anyone really throw £millions at a club who struggle to get 8000 of their own fans in for home games? This time last year we all wanted Kiefer Moore and despaired when we ended up with some lump who couldn't get a game at struggling Bury.
And look where we are now, a division higher with our destiny in our own hands.
I agree that the team needs strengthening but if you think we'll be spending big money, you'll be disappointed. Be grateful for what we have, it could be so much worse. Chesterfield, for example.
Just hope disappointment doesn’t turn into abuse. TS doesn’t have the millions to spend in the January window so let’s try and diffuse that before it gains momentum. Warne is doing his best with the squad he has but if anyone just takes a glance at our fixtures from March onwards they will see we have little chance of staying up. But you never know, this team has each other’s backs and they just need to secure 4th from bottom as we all know. Odds are against us doing that but we can enjoy the fight. As long as there is that we have a small chance. That’s what we had at the start of the season. Nothing’s changed has it?
I only hope it won't be the same old blag coming out of the NYS.
TS 'I made the money available to Paul, it was there if he needed it"
PW ' I just couldn't find the right kind of likeable player that fitted in' or 'We were outbid every time'
Status Quo.....TS said there was money, PW said he couldn't get the right player in, in other words, it's passing the book where no one carries the blame.
I have been a Miller all my life I'm currently 62. I've seen highs and lows great players and poor ones. Been called a part time supporter on Tuesday night in Bristol and even had a season ticket at Don Valley where I froze my gonads every other week . I thought my team was doomed and end up like Chessy and York at best. But no we're back home in a beautiful stadium in the middle of town in the division I was brought up to believe we belong. So I will never call TS anything but a saviour. I would love to succeed in this league and have a shot at the premiership but most of all I want to support my club if that means not spending daft money so it exists then so be it. Can we afford the players to keep us up, perhaps with a bit of good recruitment, should we sell our souls for it, never. I would like some improvement to the squad in January but it is TS's money so really it's upto him. The only thing I'd say is for him not to say things like he did about our chances of succeeding in this league before, all it does is raises the expectations of the unrealistic.
not asking Stewart to spend millions not even asking him to spend $100 on a transfer fee.
just want him to make money available to get 2-4 loan players in.
by end week we could still be out the relegation zone.
why wouldn't he want to keep us out of it??
just with quotes from Paul Warne some players will have to go out before any can come in.
thars not what we need it should be get the players you want and if any go out it's a bonus.
all we are asking for is for rotherham to have a go at staying up and put up a fight and a bit of backing from the chairman.
what's the point of spending money to get out of league 1 (I have always said Stewart is to big for league 1 but to small for the championship) for than to penny pinch on hundred grand on players wages for a couple of months (it's peanuts)
if we don't bring a couple players in I fear it's going to be a downhill struggle.
