Whilst very pleased for him, I’m not a particular fan of the extent of awards within the New Year’s Honours.
Certainly there are outstanding achievements from some people, particularly in the ‘charitable arena’ with work done for others. Those exceptional people deserve recognition, but overall there seems to be more awards going to strange recipients.
Notwithstanding, I’m also delighted for Gareth and his family, and I’m sure there is some other works that I know nothing about.
