I actually really like Aird. Yeah he goes missing for periods but he actually has real quality on the ball. He’s picked up 12 assists so far which is what some wingers will pick up in a season.

i dont dislike him, he's better than King and McMullan, at times, just saying i hope the new lads better than all 3...

Aird frustrates the hell out of me as he can come up with the killer cross once a game. He has also proved he can get past a player once every 3 games and has contributed with goals. The assists statistic however is clouded by the fact that most of them have come from set plays which has been proved to be inadequate to the success of our team. From the top of my head, i can only think of 2 crosses where he has been on the wing and crossed for an assist. One was a run down the wing and cross to Curran for a tap in, and a ball layed back for a cross to Safranko. Should be taking on people more often but doesnt seem to have the confidence!

McMullan is a guy i like, but isnt producing the goods enough, if at all. Should be scoring with his trademark drop inside off the left but seems to have lost that skill! When RN came in, i remember the 3 amigos, Aird, King and McMullan being very successful swapping all over the place, but have not always been able to play that way because of tactics and injuries. Not good for Aird and King, but McMullan seems to revel in that.

King i have defended in his time here, but i think his teas is oot! Takes people on and occasionally beats them, but goes missing far too often. Can score goals though and maybe suffers from having to track back.

Because the manager keeps mentioning we are making the wrong decisions in the final 3rd and we really should be putting teams away before half time. Doing that in this league means not relying on set plays to win a game, something that has been demonstrated to us twice this season when Ross County and Ayr United ripped us apart from open play!

Another thing about Aird is his apparent inability to last more than 65 minutes in a match!

How often did Aird get past his man?
How often did Harkins get the better of Aird?
How often did Aird loose the ball for them to break on us?

So yes it does matter if the only trick in yir book is a set piece delivery, which he couldnt even do today!

I like Aird, he has been one of our best players in the main, some great crossing and wing play.

However he was effing awful today, fek knows what was wrong him but seriously not good enough. Must improve.

We're at the start of the transfer window, we're only 6 pts of top spot. The league can be won and automatic promotion can be attained if Neilson can get the right players in.

Time for MarkO to step up and back up his stated ambitions. RN deserves to be backed with cash at this critical time. The title is not beyond us if we get our act together.
