If only Warne would have taken note about the Vyner/Jones scenario earlier maybe we wouldn't have dropped as many points.
Yes Jones has been out injured but not that much. Look how different we looked today with him in the side.

Agree that Mattock was outstanding today and probably the best I've ever seen him play for us but, the stand out player for me was Vaulks. He was simply awesome in everything he did, challenging, tackling, heading and passing. Far better than last week against Brentford and led the line like a true captain.

All the talk now is on Bolton v Reading on Tuesday night. For me we shouldn't be thinking what other teams do but what we can do ourselves so as not to rely on other results.

We played a lot better today and looked composed at the back which was great to see. A great goal from Semi and leading at half time. We started the second half with an upbeat tempo but mistakes are so easy made today by our lot and as soon as they equalised our heads dropped....why it was only the equaliser?

We dropped back, our heads dropped and apart from Capt Vaulks' super shot and a worldie save, we lost our mojo in driving forward and merely invited Leeds to dominate the second half. Same old same old? Not for me, we looked positive, stronger and look like we can take this attitude forward to what are massive games. UTM!

First away win this season? Millwall away you heard it here first.

Was chatting today to a miller's staff member. I askeed why vyner was playing Infront of Jones ..
he said it's not been that simple. There's been a few problems. I didn't problem why as I got the impression it was a personal front. Plus maybe the talksport interview Warne gave could make 2 +2 = 4 he even said Jones shouldn't have been on the bench a few times as it was 50/50 he could have broke down if he played any part. I then asked so why use him on the bench if he's not fit? Because we had nobody else to use.. it was that desperate

So what many of us suspected ie Warney papering over the cracks to cover fitness problems , was probably right. Makes you wonder what medical checks were done on Jones before we signed him. It's no good trying to bluff our way through at this level

I see what you are saying Mike but sometimes you can do all the pre-signing checks you want and injuries still happen. Different continent and different sport I know, but the local MLB team here signed a pitcher 2 seasons ago, paid him $10M/year and he never threw a single pitch in a competitive game. Broke down pre-season 2017, opted for surgery with 18m rehab. Contract now expired and he's signed somewhere else

With changes to the loan system, we've got to be extra careful about signing injury-prone players. Under SE we would have just brought another loan player in to cover the gaps if some player broke down - we can't do that now. I hope that you are right about the problem being just sheer bad luck, and that we get an injury-free run soon.
