Didn't R have a brother or sister called City ?. (I mean 'City slickers' of course, it was a film in the 90s lol).

Speaking of these club and fan meetings, has any fan ever been thrown out and banned ?. Like SB for example, for complaining that they had run out of Ovaltine or Horlicks.

I once wrote to Michael Spinks regarding how we were going to implement the Taylor Report in the early 90's .

He wrote back and invited me to see him at Oakwell .

I spent the best part of 4 hours in his office chewing the fat with him over a whole range of BFC topics , past and present , 3 rounds of tea and biscuits .

Showed me the architects plans for the east stand , I couldn't believe it when I saw the design .

It was me who called the meeting to an end , he would have chatted with me till midnight if he had to .

Wonderful man and a great servant to BFC , now he was a red through and through .

That sounds ace to be honest Animal, and I love that idea of people at a club (any footy club actually), who are also genuine fans at heart as well as business men. And they do actually appreciate fans getting in touch and are willing to talk till the cows come home. Nice one Mr Spinks.

But you do of course have the opposite side of that, some clubs fans hate their owners don't they and thats something Im still worried about happening with our lot. If they aren't careful about their future plans, and if they forget that what they do seriously affects us all as fans and the town as well etc, well Im sure you know what I mean!.

Gob****e as you call him was an employee of Barnsley F.C and a bloody good one too.His door was always open to any supporter with questions to ask just like Mansford before him.If you've anything to ask the club about go to the meeting its open to everybody and I can assure you there's not many nodding dogs attend.By the way what did you think of Mansford.?
