At 16 million and a 20 million signing. This shows Intention. Until we show the same Intent we will always struggle. We had our chance after having 8 years in the prem, established ourselves, and then when we needed to spend proper money we didn't. We never do. Those are the stark facts. I admire what Wolves have done. I am embarrassed at what we don't do. It sucks!
We tried to spend last season, we bought Burke for £15m and Rodriguez for a large amount, we had two players in on loan on £100k + per week. We overspent and needed an overdraft.

Our wage bill was in the top 10 of the prem at one stage.

The lazy argument is just to say 'we haven't spent enough'. Because we spent outside of our means.

Its not so much the spending, its spending it wisely - which we haven't done.

And anyway who cares about Wolves, they're doing well but if you want to make comparisons to make yourself feel better then compare us and them over the last 10 years. We've consistently had the upper hand. Teams come and go in cycles and this is their turn. Having said that, they have no bearing on us at all this season.

So comparing us to a prem side who have spent over £80m this season and are 7th in their league, on the last day of the transfer window isn't really a valid point is it...unless you are saying we should be spending more wisely, in that case I would agree. But we have bought in a new chairman and technical director since last seasons debacle. So what else do you expect them to do?

If you're complaining that our owner hasn't put enough cash in, again what can anyone at the club do about that?

So lets see what bodies we can bring in tonight and stop whinging about how much the Wolves have spent. They have nothing to do with us.

No one interested in responding to your well reasoned post. Rather poke fun at Kanu much easier target. Laughed so much at their many hilarious original jibes I've just had to pop a rib back.

    Pathetic!

There will always be fall guys at every football club, but players like Kanu are experienced enough to cope. What I objected to most was the abuse targeted at Scott Darton, a young kid just starting out in the game. Hearing the abuse one night against this kid was a very low point in my 60 years of supporting the club. .
