    Rafa's new contract

Reports he is to be offered a new deal imminently and that mate of his Guillem Ballague reckons there is a good chance he will sign it.

    Aye, seen that.

Now club is off market and Ashley is signing cheques for players Rafa wants. . .

if Rafa signs a new contract then its his own daft fault. The fat man had the club take out a loan to fund the latest bit of transfer business. The club thats making a profit, the club thats just been given tens of millions from the tv deal.
Fatty wont ever change, Rafa is signing a new contract, then im more inclined to believe the club may have buyers lined up once survival is assured.

He’d need to include a statement around getting the profits the club makes for transfers or he walks with a pretty payment in his pocket.

That would need to be couched in legalese to make sure this is the actial profit, and not the after Ashley has pocketed a sum of it.

Maybe a maximum percentage each time money is paid from Sky/League could be used to repay outstanding loan to Ashley, but that’s it.

That’s the thing... there’s apparently been NO profit recently... if that is because Ashley has claimed it against his loan then there’s nothing stopping him doing that... but to stay in the Prem we need to spend money to make money... so some form of control is needed.

Looking forward to seeing clubs financial statement next time to see where all the money went mind!

He wants to borrow Marko Arnautovic's agent for contract negotiations. He played West Ham a treat. One minute he was off to China the next he signed a new contract. No doubt doubling his money.
Nothing has changed at the club.Like has been said,a loan was taken out for Almiron.I just think the slugs time is coming to an end.He is taking his so called loan back for me just like Nufcian said above making it able for him to lower his asking price. He is borrowing money for players against TV money knowing fine well that is a lot higher than any player fee we pay.
I think there will be a few interesting numbers of how much he has paid off his fake loan when the dodgy accounts finally come out.But for once the higher the better. As the higher it is means he is on his way,if it's peanuts it will mean there is a lot more milking of the cow to be done.

remember that other lad at West Ham a few years ago, a winger i think he only played a few games and got injured. Then somehow got a big move to Real Madrid

....happy with this week (Spurs aside).

But for me, its shpuldn't be enough for Rafa to sign for another 3 years. Nowhere near enough.

Feel like i have just had a Big Mac after nothing for a week. Tasty but unfulfilling.

11 years of neglect to counter-balance fellas. One signing (who we would have considered average 12 years ago) won't do it for me yet. Rafa would be a fool to sign based on this alone.

Nope...cos we all know exactly how it's going to go.
