Lies, damned lies and statistics. It depends how owners account for money they have put into club. If you stack it as debt you get a Stoke, if you capitalise it then it isn't a liability, like us. We also don't have a mortgage on ground
Saw this earlier on my flipboard so thought I would post it up, not sure what it means in real terms - we need RogerRamjet to explain it but it looks encouraging on the face of it, Forest are still throwing money around like confetti

To be honest I'm not sure the rable means a lot in isolation. It's just cheap journalism, but it's probably better to be at the bottom than the top.
More interesting would be a comparison of interest costs to isolate "real" debt burden impact. If its interest free owner debt, then it's just structural debt and not real
Surely FFP isn't about total debt. Just about how much more you spent on players and players' wages than you received in income over the previous 3 seasons.
A layman might think that a club with a low total debt would be nowhere near FFP limits. We are proof that it isn't so........
These stats are probably 100% correct but, IMO, they have no bearing on FFP. Stoke have a huge debt to their owners but much of that will come from the PL and that, if I remember corrrectly, doesn't count.
Surely this list isn't about FFP nor does it pretend to be.....
Okay...so now I’m totally confused.
Clearly it is better to be at the bottom of this table than near the top...I get that, so superficially at least it would appear that we are very healthily placed.
Given some sort of equation between size/fan base, owner’s wealth, proximity to parachute payments and current league position I’d be very worried if I had connections with the likes of Wigan, Millwall or Forest and completely mortified if I supported any one of PNE, Wednesday, Brentford, Ipswich or Blackburn, or am I reading that wrong and is it really totally irrelevant to FFP?
Parky...help!
RA. I'm not sure if it's relevant or not Blackburn are at the top but they keep spending Which probably means it's irrelevant What the FFP rules say is you can have a loss of £13million a season but this drops to only being allowed a £5million loss of the owner does not put equity in So Mel has definitely kept us afloat We need some one with more knowledge to help us with this one Where's Dcfc army when you need him
