    Chelsea thrashed at City

After spending billions where do they go from here. Spend another billion change the manager again, could get Nuno and Menzies in.
Or will the Russian sell up.

There were rumours when he was banned from re-entering the UK that he wanted to sell for £3bn.

He's still banned from the the UK as far as I know, and has taken Israeli citizenship instead, but he is no fool.

The shi tty inconsequential club he bought off Bates was hours away from bankruptcy and now he has made it a self sufficient money making club which is a worldwide brand and has the prime real estate where their ground is.

He did have plans for a new ground at battersea, but his current UK entry problems may stop that.

He will make a massive profit when he sells up and that isn't bad for someone whose "business acumen" was knowing Boris Yeltsin's daughter.

There are similarities between him and Peace - both are crooks of the first degree!

    ‘.......knowing Boris Yeltsin’s daughter’?

    Is that a ‘biblical’ term?

I turned on the radio to find City 5-0 up and just about to make it 6. The commentators were incredulous about what they were seeing and the gushing praise was layed on thick. I was surprised at the scoreline but I could not remotely match their enthusiasm. In fact I found it quite depressing. We are regularly told the Premier League is the greatest 'competition' in football, wonderful entertainment etc etc. I just can't buy into all that.
