St Mirren was a great result for the team. Beating a premiership team will increase the confidence, it will show the players they are good enough and only make it more determined to get promotion.
The performance as well can only help the team as they will have the confidence in each other.
Butcher’s tackle and the teams reaction to the Smith assault will also show teams we will stand up for each other

The other factor that makes me feel more confident if we do end up in a play off scenario is the team should be fresher. The last 2 times we have been dead on our feet by the last game. With the wholesale changes in January there are a lot of players who havent played a lot of football this season who theoretically should be in full stride come the playoffs.

The spanner in the works is if we reach The Scottish Cup Final.

Ideal scenario is we win automatic promotion and win TSC. Now I am dreaming;)

Thought that too but I see the Hibs lad who was also booked has been given a subsequent ban. Suggests McGinn could have been banned but they have chosen not too.

Poor from McGinn and poor from the SFA.

they ****s love an elbow. almost like they know they will get away with it. same with the inbreds up north they know they can tackle anywhere soon as we retaliate its a card.

has butcher had his ban yet?

Yeah, apparently.......“There was not enough evidence for the Compliance Officer to raise a fast-track notice of complaint” in relation to McGinn and the Killie boy who kicked Ryan Jack in the puss (which seems fair enough, actually).

Presumably the Compliance Officer doesn't have a f cuking telly.....

    Absolute disgrace!

Also, with Butch getting a straight red, surely the photographic evidence (showing the St Mirren player's boot was higher than Butch's and almost took his head off) of the red card incident should have led to the St Mirren player getting pulled up and sanctioned by the compliance officer.

Looks to me like the myth that we killed Rangers has taken root in popular consciousness and these SFA officials want to punish us.
