I expect Warney to believe in his players and stop being negative, you can’t argue that points have been dropped due to negativity
    Indeed, it's an opportunity missed.

Just consider the impact it would have had on Reading and their fans if the league table today showed us 3 points in front of them?

Not sure what the problem is. He said we play direct football (which we do). I don't think he said there was anything wrong with that, in fact he said that teams that play direct football will always be dangerous. Mr Warne being a bit over-sensitive I think.

We are a long ball team with some players who work very hard to compensate for their technical deficiencies. Sometimes, just sometimes, we also play some nice football as well.
Not sure what else people should expect given our tiny budget by Championship standards.
I sort of agree with the sentiments, but even for a "long-ball" team, 13 shots, only two on target isn't gong to keep us up - in fact, with only two shots on target we did well to even score! That kind of accuracy isn't a "one-off". We see similar wastefulness every week, and if anything the stats are getting worse. Warney says that he is not a "Stats Man", but he has urgently got to improve that somehow. Got to make hitting the target a priority in training. He just seems oblivious to the problem, unfortunately

Sol Campbell has brought in Andy Cole to work with his strikers at Macclesfield, having someone who was prolific during their pro career might actually help our forwards. Maybe next season we need to address the coaching staff issue and get a coach to work with the forwards and also a defensive coach, I know this goes against the old pals act but we need to do something.

Not going to happen, Warney doesn’t think we need to

But in fairness they both weren’t prolific goalscorers.

    Warne 477 games 64 goals
Barker also 477 funnily enough, 123 goals

    Still only 1 in 4

Sorry millertop I can't agree. We're creating over a dozen chances per game and think we have reached 26 chances in a game playing 451. 4141 as you like to call it so than is far from negative..
Ok our goal to chance record is poor

Tbh I don't think a top striker coach would help. Most of our squad has played under various professional managers/coaches and I would say most are playing at the top of there game.

Think you Grist are starting to cloud the water with your negative posts. Shame on you lad 😉

Sorry didnt add saracastic face...though surprised by Barker's goal return. Was he 1 in 4 for us?

We have a team of Warnes, they can run around a lot but not quite good enough.
