Other than antics of Chelsea keeper and manager, it was rather boring - Chelsea had ZERO shots on target (even we did better than that against Man. City, but a shame that we let seven in), Man City managed only three shots on target!

Didn't see it but as someone who played in goal a few times I know I'd be pretty miffed to say the least if I played an entire cup competition for the manager to then sub me off at the end of the final, the very time I get to be the hero with no downside unless it gets to me taking one.

I can understand that Cam but if the manager wants you off then off you come, if that happened with one of ours I’d be shouting at him to get off, it’s disrespectful imo

It’s been said that the keeper wanted to fetch on is the better penalty stopper so has he cost them?

    Hope this links works

Keeper was waisting time to get to penalties, and it back fired when he was too convincing. A pro keeper getting cramp? Never seen it before. Playing for himself and not the team.

The keeper had gone down with cramp twice. Leaving aside the fact that he is a keeper and should never have cramp, he looked done for and the manager wanted to make the change. It is no co-incidence that this happened to be a Chelsea player, the last 3 managers have been badly let down by a toxic dressing room who 'down tools' at the earliest opportunity.
    BTW the game was dreadful.

Only if we could find enough in the pub to have the one sub. Actually came on as a sub goalie once at half time in a match when it was 0-0 and we lost 4-0. Wouldn't say I was bad but I was responsible for 5 of the 4

I can see the point of subbing a goalie for penalties (wish England had done it a couple of times as I can never remember seeing Shilton save a penalty) but what does it say to that goalie in terms of building his confidence? If my manager had ever done it I think the next time I was playing and a penalty had been awarded in regular time I'd have taken off my shirt and walked over to the dug out and said "You got anyone to save this one?"

Shilts saved a pen against Germany in a friendly circa 1986.

Should yellow card have been shown for time wasting?
