.......... if you become aware the expensive vehicle you drive may be a potential death trap which could engulf yourself and your loved ones in a ball of flames........... get your car checked out ASAP, even if the warning is printed in the Mail (all be it a number of months after the initial product recall).

I'll just leave this here and get on with the rest of my day.........

Thanks Soulman. I am going to get her to call the dealership. I was being ironic in my reply really to the post stating it was all bollox as it made me wonder how one-eyed and impartial must you be to think a mainstream newspaper would make this up for the hell of it even if politically you don't agree with it?

I think its safe to say that if The Mail had made this one up, BMW has extremely deep pockets to take legal redress therefore plain old logic tells me there was some substance to it.

Hi, i never buy a newspaper, only look on line and take what the mail prints with a pinch of salt.
Not of fan of German cars, but didn't want to make a cheap shot at them regards safety. A lot of my mates drive them.

I'm not talking about this article in particular, just generally. I wouldn't believe anything I read in there. If they print an article like this, I'd check against more reputable news sources.

Just throwing it out there to people to take everything the Mail says with a pinch of salt. Its a tinpot media source. I don't even click on their links.

Unfortunately its too late for some on this board like Mick. He is too far gone and believes everything the Mail tells him to...

To be fair to the Mail, I doubt they’d make this up. However I expect all EDL followers to be reading this rag of a newspaper as it is aimed at a specific group of people that have a low level of intelligence, are typically gullible etc. As soulman says always take headlines with a pinch of salt.

Having said the above, I doubt we have any EDL sympathizers on this board eh.

    Tin hat Time.

Hi Soulman. Sorry if I wasn't clear in my response. I was actually agreeing with you that it makes good sense to get the car checked out. I didn't agree that the article was 'bollox' as 123 implied. Too much of a risk to ignore.

Your post did come across as dismissive of the article because of where it came from. I do agree that many things in the media should be taken with a pinch of salt as there is bias in nearly all reporting but common sense would suggest this wasn't made up due to the moral and legal implications were it not true.

You really are a f king moron.

    A boring one at that.

My wife had the recall notice and the work was completed a couple of weeks ago as her car had got a serious issue.

She wasn’t allowed to drive the car away, they insisted she had it done same day so she had to sit there for five hours and wait.

I don’t even have a daily paper as it happens smart a r s e but if she hadn’t had the recall notice but I had read it in the Daily Mail I would’ve preferred to have ignored their advice and instead have my wife in a jar on the mantelpiece after she’d burned to a crisp!

    Cretin!

So the Daily Mail (that you don't read) might have told you about the recall, after your wife's car WAS given a recall... I'm with you.

    And you're calling me a 'moron'.....Jesus.

You are nothing more than a sheep. I'll leave you to enjoy today's Mail so you can get angry about what benefits refugees are claiming...

    Are you thick?

I only read it in the Mail on the link Soulman posted on here....the work had ALREADY been done Dumbass.

My point was that if I’d read the piece in the Mail OR any other paper having not had a recall notice I would’ve reacted......I’m not so indoctrinated ( like yourself ) that I would ignore such a warning even if given by a Left Wing paper or news outlet.

Your political points scoring is pathetic.
