Low and behold 3 years later we have nae atmosphere, nae crowd and nae young folk.

Did anybody ask them to see what they wanted, did anybody communicate with them.....no we had a stadium manager who sent in the bully boys and someone from the DSA who is aulder than me lecturing them and a club who bent over and took it from some unelected ****wit at the council.
Hi Rross,

you were posting at the same time as I was replying to Deecom's post. You will know that there were serious concerns about the SE being forced to close. It didn't happen because of the actions taken by the club. I know there's great debate about what else could have been done and whether or not the board could have resisted and told the licensing committee that they were not going to do anything to destroy the unique atmosphere in the SE, but it doesn't work like that.

Having had 3 seasons of exemplary behaviour it makes it even more difficult to argue that the "problems" as identified by the licensing authorities, were NOT cured by the changes made to the seating arrangements. IMO we need to be more creative and see if there is a way to relaiunch attending Dens and sitting in the SE. Perhaps more seats could be returned to use, perhaps using free seating so that people can gravitate to their friends, perhaps charging a lower price for ST holders in the SE, who knows but I think that if FPS made a concerted attempt to promote the SE as THE place to go if you're passionate about the DEE's they might get somewhere in restoring the atmosphere in the SE.

I have not sat in the SE since the changes so obviously I don't know what practical alterations could/should be made. Maybe some of the regulars could give their views and help push things forward.

We need to pull together and IMO restating grievances and trying to point out where mistakes have been made will not help. The quality of the football at Dens has been very poor, the results even more so but if you think back to the 2-4 game against Hibs, I'd be surprised if there wasn't a great deal more optimism about the future for the Dee's after that game than there was before it. We can do this but we need to pull together.
