I notice Wah Man has closed. Real sad day. Another one of our institutions gone.

I used to live opposite there as s kid in the terraced houses. Used to be a corner shop owned by Mr McMillan before being turned into a English style chippy by the Whiteheads.
It was awesome when the original Chinese owners took over but went downhill when the new ones took over.

Agree. Was good with the first Chinese owner. Actually it went further down hill the last couple of years. Was one of the originals together with Ellies, Bombay and the Wellgate House on Wellgate.

The standard of most takeaways is really poor at the moment. Struggle to find a decent one.
