    Dobbie v Shankland is another matter surely. In any case Ayr are going to be in the play-offs that we aspired to at the top end so they'll have "extra" competitive games too. The strong likelihood with Dobbs injured is that Shankland will score more league goals but Dobbie's total for all first team matches will be higher.

    JIMMY RUTHERFORD scored 36 League goals and 5 in the Cup = 41 in a season 1931 - 32
    JIMMY GRAY scored 37 League goals and 1 in the Cup = 1927 - 28
