If he's done it - i can believe he has, however according to the reports i've read the tweet saying it etc. has been taken down and the clubs have declined to comment.

However, if proved etc. I can't see how he'll stay in the game. Would be a brave/mad chairman to employ him.

It'll be interesting to see what's really happened. It can't be trivial if the police jump in front of the car to stop him leaving the ground.

    That´s up to him.

He´s someone who thinks he´s intelligent but has a red mist side to his personality which he seems unable to control.

The issue with Barton is, his previous reputation will potentially be immediately thrown back into the limelight which will likely turn this fiasco into a even bigger fiasco.

If Barton has used physical violence whether provoked or unprovoked, it's going to have serious impact on his future in football but also could very well lead to another stint in jail due to his violent past.

It's all speculation at this point in time but whatever happens from this point on will come down to witnesses and/or willingness from the injured party to press charges...assuming it wasn't observed by camera/video or the police themselves inside the tunnel.

I wonder what eventually comes out in the wash?
