McMullan's recent form has been very good.
I could say he's a player transformed.
When he dribbled round an Ayr defender on Friday I had to rub my eyes, I thought it was Luggy or Ralphie in disguise.
I repeat, he dribbled round a defender. I thought I'd gone back in time.
So he's playing very well at the moment so can we just enjoy it & leave it at that?
I think some folk are issuing a note of caution as we've seen this before from McMullan and asking the question, can he keep it up this time? Perfectly valid to ask this IMHO.
My issue is more the weird reluctance to just say he had a good game without the caveat of his season long resume. We all know he has been I consistent and not done enough but he's playing well so nothing wrong with just praising him without having to add the digs.
I think that's happening as we've seen this before from him?
Terry, I hope you're not too disappointed when he maintains his consistency up at Snecky.
Otm's right, it's like some 'supporters' are waiting for him to have a bad game.
Moaning bar stewards.
Try living in the present.
Why on earth would I be disappointed at a United player playing well?![]()
I know Terry but in your previous posts you keep saying yeah, he's playing well just now but what about the times during the season when he's shown some promise then failed to deliver. You seem more concerned about his false dawns rather than how well he's playing right now. It just smacks of negativity (which I abhor btw).
His direct running has given defences loads problems and he offers us something different. His end product may not always be great but if it was, we wouldn't have him! He is surrounded by a lot of new faces and is forging partnerships. A preseason and a number of settled teammates around him will help massively. Unfair to slate him as he has improved over the last couple of months. Get behind him, he is going to make mistakes but he has the potential to be a cracking player for us. I like him!
